Do I need to be a University of Toronto student to get involved with OPIRG?
No, you do not need to be a UofT student to get involved! Everyone who aligns with our mandate is very welcome to volunteer or become a member, regardless of their affiliation (or lack thereof) with the University.
Do I need organizing or activism experience to get involved?
Absolutely not. There is no experience requirement. OPIRG is a space for people to learn, experiment, build skills, and grow as organizers. Whether you have been organizing for years or are attending your first ever protest, our doors are open to all!
Is there an age requirement to get involved?
No! Everyone of any age is welcome to get involved with OPIRG.
How do I access OPIRG’s resources? Is there a fee?
All events and resources provided by OPIRG Toronto are completely free! Stop by our office or speak to our Programming Coordinator coordinatoropirgto@gmail.com if you have any questions.
I would like to learn more. Do I need to make an appointment to speak with someone?
Nope! Just stop by during our office hours and speak with a volunteer or staff member! You can also send an email to opirg.toronto@gmail.com if you are unable to attend our office hours.
I’m interested in donating to OPIRG, but I have some questions…
Of course! Feel free to drop by our open office hours or send an email to our Fundraising Coordinator at fundraisingcoordinator@proton.me to set up a time that works best for you.
